Sparkling Wine

Sparkling Wine
Sparkling wine is produced throughout the world and often follows similar wine making methods, and grape varieties with similar qualities, as those found in the famous French Champagne region. Sparkling wine is carbonated by yeast fermenting in an airtight container, with the two most common methods being the 'traditional' method (as with Champagne and Cava, making small, persistent bubbles) and the 'tank' method (as with Prosecco, making medium-sized, spritzy bubbles). The New World has a lot to offer the sparkling self-treaters out there, with some of its cooler regions producing wines that compete very comfortably with the traditional sparkling producing regions of the Old World in terms of quality and sheer deliciousness.
